Plymouth Police responded to 422 North Michigan Street, the Red-D-Mart Gas Station for a disturbance just after 9 Tuesday, July 9.
While Officer Fase was investigating the events that took place, 21-year-old Chaz Sylvester of South Bend began screaming at officers and making a scene. He was told to calm down but continued to make a scene.
Chaz Sylvester was taken into custody and booked into the Marshall County Jail on a charge of disorderly conduct and held on a $250 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
