Shelby County Post continues to provide local news, sports and more at no charge to readers

The Shelby County Post wants to thank all its readers and sponsors that made 2024 a terrific year for local journalism.

Owned and operated by GIANT fm, the Shelby County Post is a dedicated local news source that does not require a subscription or pay wall access.

Local news and sports stories, obituaries and feature contributor stories are available seven days a week at no charge to readers. It can be accessed online at Giant.fm, then scroll down to Shelby County Post and click the logo.

The digital newspaper is operated by veteran journalists and writers who live and work in this community.

Feature contributors include talented writers John Hartnett and Kris Mills; columnists include Kris Meltzer, Todd Leonard, Mike Dooley and Carol McDaniel.

The Shelby County Post editor is Jeff Brown, who was hired in February of 2021 following a nearly two-decade career in local print journalism to expand the scope of the digital newspaper.

GIANT fm owner and on-air personality Johnny McCrory also contributes stories and interviews to the Shelby County Post.
