Sexual misconduct charges filed against Greencastle man

Indiana State Police initiated a criminal investigation in August 2026 after receiving information that a female juvenile had been sexually abused in Putnam County.

The investigation revealed that Tyler Wright, 26, of Greencastle, allegedly engaged in sexual misconduct with a female juvenile.  After reviewing the investigation, the Putnam County Prosecutor’s Office requested an arrest warrant for Wright.  They were granted an arrest warrant by the Putnam County Superior Court, and Wright was taken into custody by Putnam County Deputy Tanner Nicholson without incident

Wright faces multiple charges including:

Sexual Misconduct with a Minor: Intercourse with or engages in other sexual conduct (2 counts), Level 4 Felony

Sexual Misconduct with a Minor Committed by Person at Least 21 Years Old, Level 5 Felony 

Investigating the case were Indiana State Police Trooper Detectives Colton Maynor, James Crisp, and Daniel Magnabosco, of the Putnamville State Police Post.
