On or after May 19, State Road 9 will close between C.R. 850 N. and C.R. 750 N. for a structure replacement project in Shelby County. The structure is located approximately 6.8 miles north of I-74 in Shelbyville
State Road 9 is anticipated to reopen by mid-June. The official detour will follow I-74, I-465, and U.S. 52.
Motorists are reminded to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near construction zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
