On Friday, May 30th, at approximately 01:15 in the morning, a Plymouth Police Officer initiated a traffic stop on a motorcycle traveling southbound on North Michigan Street. The driver, 25-year-old Rylan M. Martin of U.S. 6 in LaPaz, was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Rylan Martin was arrested, transported to the Marshall County Jail, and booked in for operating a vehicle with a controlled substance and operating while intoxicated with a prior conviction. He was held on a $1,500 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
