A Rosedale man is facing charges after leading deputies on a brief high-speed chase and resisting arrest on Thursday.
According to a press release from the Parke County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop near County Road 900 South and County Road 625 West. The driver, identified as 26-year-old Jimmy J. Griffin, fled the scene at a high rate of speed, traveling approximately one mile before pulling over.
Once stopped, Griffin reportedly refused to comply with officers’ commands. A deputy deployed a taser, allowing authorities to take Griffin into custody without further incident.
Griffin was transported to the Parke County Jail and is facing charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement. The incident remains under investigation. No injuries were reported during the pursuit or arrest.
