Early Friday morning at 1:10 officers from the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to 1029 West Jefferson Street for the report of a domestic incident.
The initial call was made by a male caller who advised that he had been attacked by his wife and stepson.
While en route to the West Jefferson Street address Plymouth Police were notified that the stepson had called 911 and stated that his stepdad had attacked his mother.
City officers spoke with all parties involved and an investigation took place. After the investigation, 45-year-old Ronnie Norman who was booked into jail with a Mishawaka address was taken into custody and booked in for strangulation and domestic battery, as well as an unrelated out of county warrant.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
