The new program is aimed at helping students "shine" in key areas of personal development.
Rockville Elementary School has launched a new initiative called “Mrs. Bonomo’s Bright Bunch” aimed at helping students "shine" in key areas of personal development.
The program, created by Principal Kristen Bonomo, focuses on five main goals: Growth Mindset, Goal Setting, Emotional Management, Empathy and Kindness, and Problem Solving. These pillars are designed to guide students in developing important life skills that will benefit them both inside and outside the classroom.
Teachers at Rockville Elementary play an active role in the program by nominating students who demonstrate these qualities. Students who are recognized for their efforts receive special certificates to bring home, celebrating their achievements and encouraging continued growth.
To kick off the new initiative, Rockville Elementary hosted a lively “glow rally” that brought excitement and energy to the school community. Teachers dressed up with glow sticks and performed a dance in the dark, creating a fun and memorable experience for the students.

As the school year has progressed, the first groups of kids have been recognized for their achievements and were posted on the Rockville Elementary School Facebook page.
The following students were celebrated for Friday, August 23rd: Matthew Young, Emerson Farrow, Ryder Harwood, Barret Leatherman, Bentley Collings, Bianca Maddox, Ellie Steele, Owen Bridge, Corbin Cook, Zoey McCombs, Reed Allen, Xavier Maston, Luna Scott, Harper Mace, Aerith Thom, Hunter Presley, Hunter Roach, Charlotte Larson, Scarlett Rose, Braxton Pithoud, Mallory Hill, Lawson Bridge, and Finn Lytle
