Monday, September 1st, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department released details on a crash last Wednesday, August 27th, involving a motorcycle and a passenger car at Olive Trail and 12B Road.
At approximately 4:54 PM the Sheriff's Department was notified of a crash involving a passenger car and a motorcycle. Officer Jordan Rans investigated the accident and learned that a 2023 Yamaha motorcycle driven by 48-year-old Nathan Fritz of Rochester was traveling south on Olive Trail, approaching 12B Road, when he lost control of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle then collided with a 2015 Toyota Corolla that was traveling north on Olive Trail and driven by 29-year-old Douglas Rodriguez of Warsaw.
Fritz was flown from the scene by Lutheran Air to Memorial Hospital in South Bend to be treated for a leg injury. Rodriguez was not injured.
