On Tuesday, December 10, at approximately 12:50 p.m., the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 300 block of N. Monroe St. in Fulton. Deputies established probable cause to believe Zachariah D. Cook (33) of Rochester, IN, was on the property. Mr. Cook had several outstanding arrest warrants through Fulton County, including Level 1 and Level 4 Child Molesting and various misdemeanor offenses.
Mr. Cook attempted to elude officers and was located hiding in a shed. He refused deputies' verbal commands to exit. K-9 Deputy Dulin deployed his K-9 partner, Agi, to assist with the apprehension. Mr. Cook was transported to Woodlawn Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and later booked at the Fulton County Jail for his active warrants. Mr. Cook was also preliminarily charged with Resisting Law Enforcement, Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer, Battery on a Law Enforcement Animal, and Possession of Marijuana.
A female residing in the residence was also arrested during the incident. Nicole L. Boardman (30) of Fulton was lodged in the Fulton County Jail and was initially charged with obstructing justice and assisting a criminal, both level 6 felonies.

“It is very encouraging to see our brave law enforcement agencies working together to bring Mr. Cook to justice,” stated Sheriff Travis Heishman. “This is a fine example of old-fashioned, proactive police work.”
The Rochester Police Department, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, and Parkview EMS assisted the Fulton County Sheriff's Office.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings, entitled to be represented by counsel, and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
