Rochester man arrested in Plymouth on multiple charges following theft investigation

A 33-year-old Rochester man is facing multiple charges, including battery against a public safety official, following an incident at a Plymouth retail store on Thursday afternoon, April 30th.

Plymouth Police were initially dispatched to the Dollar General located on Oak Drive after receiving a report of a male suspect allegedly in possession of a stolen laptop. Upon arriving at the scene and conducting an investigation, officers determined that the laptop in question actually belonged to the individual, identified as Christopher Quimby.

However, the investigation took a turn when officers discovered that Quimby was in possession of other stolen merchandise taken from various local stores in the area.

The situation escalated during the encounter, leading to Quimby's arrest. He was taken into custody and lodged in the Marshall County Jail.

Quimby is currently facing charges of theft, disorderly conduct, resisting law enforcement, and battery against a public safety official. Additionally, he was held on active out-of-county warrants.

His bond has been set at $2,500 cash.
