A routine traffic stop ended with the subject being arrested on active warrants through Fulton and Whitley Counties.
On Sunday afternoon, Officer Krynock with the Plymouth Police Department was on routine patrol and stopped a vehicle being driven by 31-year-old Landon J. Lewis of Rochester for a traffic infraction.
Lewis was found to have active warrants through Fulton and Whitley counties.
During the stop, the Plymouth officer also located suspected marijuana in the vehicle.
Lewis was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on the warrants, plus the new charge of possession of marijuana, with a cash bond of $250.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
