The Marshall County Commissioners will convene Monday morning, May 18th, at 9:30 a.m. in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building, with an agenda covering infrastructure, housing, public safety, and facility maintenance.
Highway Superintendent Jason Peters will open the meeting with the presentation of the 2025 Annual Operational Report for Local Roads, Streets, and Bridges, which will be considered for approval by the board.
A public hearing is scheduled with Shannon McLeod from Baker Tilly regarding an Owner-Occupied Housing Project — an initiative that will have significant implications for low-income homeowners, as grant funds will be invested in the rehabilitation of homes.
Also on the agenda, Pastor Curt Litwiller of the Bremen Missionary Church will appear before the commissioners to request the closure of a portion of 2C Road to accommodate Vacation Bible School activities.
Plymouth Fire Chief Steve Holm will seek commissioner support for a Public Safety Grant, and Billy Schoff from the county's Buildings and Grounds department will provide an update on an ongoing HVAC issue in the County Building — a matter that has been a concern for the facility in recent weeks.
Rounding out the meeting, the County Attorney and County Auditor will each present their respective reports to the board.
Monday's meeting is open to the public and will be streamed live on the county's YouTube channel.
