The Lawrence County Highway Department has announced that the Birds Lane (CR 1800N) will be closed to vehicular traffic starting next week.
Beginning on Monday, April 13th, the road from Illinois Route 1 east to North Fork Road (CR 1350E) will be shut down in Bond Township for a bridge construction project. The project will be located on the east end of the village of Birds. The road will be closed to thru traffic for an anticipated 3 months to allow for completion, weather permitting.
