After days of donations and competition between seven volunteers, the final results for the 2026 Ride the Lightning fundraiser with the Fulton County Sheriff's Department came to a head May 13, with lucky contestant Andy Brubaker being the one to be tased for the fundraiser.
This year the event raised a total of $19,227.94 for the local FOP Lodge #143 Shop With a Cop program after the Fulton County Sheriff's Office called on locals to step up and volunteer with organizations willing to “Ride the Lightning.”
This year the event raised a little more than $7,000 from the 2025 Ride the Lightning challenge.
Volunteers included Levi Brown, who raised $2,010.00; Jenna Neal, who raised $1,565.00; Joe Bauer, who raised $1,270.00; Brandi Stalbaum, with $1,240.00; Grady McCall, with $1,208.00; Shaun Mudd with $1,066.46; and Andy Brubaker in last place with $678.48.
