Anyone looking to support Fulton County's newly formed suicide task force have two ways to do so, beginning today.
Rochester Dairy Queen hosts a Sponsor Night from 4-10 p.m. today, with 10 percent of net sales being donated to the local coalition in its mission to help those at risk, as well as survivors and grieving loved ones. All one has to do is let their server know that they would like to support the Fulton County Suicide Task Force when ordering.
Not in town today? That's OK. Wings Etc. at 390 Rochester Crossing Drive in Rochester is donating 15 percent of all pre-tax food and soft drink sales to the task force on Thursday, April 24. Its Dine to Donate event includes all hours open that day, 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
Bring a flyer, found below, to show a Wings Etc. server. One can also use the code D2D0018 at checkout when ordering online to support the cause. The flyer also include a QR code.
The task force kicked off in early March under the direction of Support Cafe Executive Director Pat Brown. Its members are working to broaden the conversation about suicide, with a focus on preventative measures through available resources and training opportunities.
