Marshall County Purdue Extension will host a grain marketing workshop next month designed to help farmers navigate the complexities of the grain market and develop effective marketing strategies.
"From Fields to Futures: Grain Marketing Essentials" will provide a practical overview of the grain market, including its current outlook, basis, and fundamental marketing principles.
The program will highlight how cash contracts, options, and futures contracts can be used effectively within a comprehensive marketing plan. The hands-on session is designed to give farmers practical tools for making informed marketing decisions.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday, February 4th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Gallery on West, located at 202 West Street in Argos.
Registration is required to attend, with a cost of $20 payable at the door by cash or check made out to Purdue University. Participants must register by January 28th.
Individuals under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
