Art in the Park is returning to Winamac this Saturday, May 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Winamac Town Park.
Hosted by the Pulaski County Tribe, the free event invites community members to experience art in an interactive way. Instead of simply viewing finished pieces, attendees can watch artists at work, take part in hands-on activities, and engage directly with the creative process.
According to a press release, Art in the Park is designed to create an accessible and engaging environment where people can spend time outdoors along the scenic Tippecanoe River, explore something new, and connect through shared experiences.
Saturday's event plans to feature a mix of demonstrations, hands-on creative activities, by regional artists and makes. Live music, performances and food trucks will also be there.
Art in the Park is part of PCT’s ongoing work to bring people together through creativity, culture and connection, while supporting local artists and activating community spaces.
“Art doesn’t have to be something you just look at,” said Pulaski County Tribe board member Brandi Larkin. “This event creates space for people to step into it, try it, and experience it in a way that feels approachable.”
