A 70-year-old Poland man is facing charges related to a road rage incident on East State Road 42 near Cloverdale.
According to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the 1400 block of East State Road 42 on Sept. 29 for a report of a man pointing a firearm.
An investigation determined that Charles M. Lambert, 70, Poland, Indiana, was involved in a road rage incident.
Police state an object was allegedly thrown at Lambert's vehicle, causing damage and prompting Lambert to exit his vehicle, brandish a firearm and fire in the direction of the individual who left the scene and has not been located by law enforcement.
Lambert was detained, a firearm was recovered and nobody was hurt in the incident.
According to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, the investigation remains ongoing, including the circumstances involving the other vehicle.
Lambert was arrested and charged with a Level 6 felony count of criminal recklessness committed with a deadly weapon.
