Officer Fisher with the Plymouth Police Department arrested two individuals this weekend on separate driving violations during traffic stops on U.S. 30.
On Friday, August 28, at approximately 2:35 p.m., Officer Fisher conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 30 east of Pioneer Drive on a vehicle whose registered owner had a suspended license.
The registered owner was identified as Desirae Fuller, 35, of Indianapolis. Her driving status was listed as suspended-prior on her ID card, and she had never held a license. Fuller was taken into custody and lodged in the Marshall County Jail for driving while suspended-prior and driving without a license.
On Sunday, August 30, at approximately 6:20 p.m., Officer Fisher conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 30 east of Oak Drive on a vehicle that was speeding at 76 mph in a 45 mph construction zone.
The driver was identified as Lorwin Batancourt, 28, of Chicago. During the stop, it was determined that Batancourt had never had a driver's license. He was placed under arrest for driving without ever obtaining a license and speeding in the construction zone. Batancourt was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in.
