Plymouth Police officers arrested two individuals over the weekend in unrelated traffic stops, both for driving without a valid license, according to department reports.
On Saturday, October 17, just after 4 p.m., Officer Fisher conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling 49 mph in a 35 mph zone on Western Avenue from North Street. The driver was identified as Gabriel Granados-Umanzor, 32, of Jackson Heights Road in Plymouth. During the stop, it was determined that Granados-Umanzor had never had a driver's license. He was arrested for driving without a license and booked into the Marshall County Jail.
On Monday, October 19, at approximately 12:10 a.m., Officer Fase stopped a silver passenger car after observing it crossing the center line and nearly driving off the road. An investigation determined that the driver, Lorenzo Guzman-Santiz, 37, of Grovertown, did not possess a valid driver's license and was also intoxicated. Guzman-Santiz was taken into custody and booked into the Marshall County Jail for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with endangerment and operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license with a prior conviction. He was held on a $1,500 cash bond.
