Mike Reese with The Troyer Group gave members of the Plymouth Park Board an update on the various projects in the works.
Reese has been working with the park department for over a decade. Currently, The Troyer Group is overseeing the new pickleball courts that are being added at the Mary Beth Hunter Tennis Complex in Centennial Park.
The poles for the fence around the pickleball courts should be going in today, and the poles for the next will also be installed this week.
Reese said the acrylic surface will be applied after the posts and fencing are installed.
Completion is anticipated to be by the end of June.
The Price’s Pond Greenway Trail Extension project will cross over Plymouth Goshen Trail with a pedestrian bridge over the Schuh Ditch and around the backside of Price’s Pond. The project is partially funded by the Department of Natural Resources. They are still in the permitting process and will take the project to bid later this year, with construction to begin in the spring of 2025.
Phase III of the Greenway Trail in River Park Square is an INDOT funded project and part of the Marshall County Stellar Communities designation. They anticipate the DNR FloodPlain permit in a few weeks, and the final design will be submitted to INDOT later this month. Bid letting is at the end of October, with construction to begin in the spring of 2025.
Reese noted that phase III of the Greenway Trail is a long process because of Stellar Communities funding, but they fund much more of the project.
