A Plymouth man was arrested on September 29th after Corporal Schieber with the Plymouth Police Department suspected he was suspected of operating while intoxicated.
At about 1:30 Sunday morning, the Plymouth officer stopped a vehicle on Michigan Street near Klinger Street for multiple moving violations.
During the traffic stop, the driver was identified as 25-year-old Maximiliano Perez-Barrios of West Washington Street in Plymouth. As a result of the officer's investigation, a search warrant had to be obtained, and once executed, Perez-Barrios' blood alcohol level was determined to be nearly twice the legal limit.
Maximiliano Perez-Barrios was transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was lodged for operating a vehicle while intoxicated-endangering, operating while intoxicated over .08, and the operator was never licensed.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
