Plymouth man faces felony sexual battery & drug charges following joint investigation

Marshall County Detectives and Division of Child Services Respond to Complaint Involving 13-Year-Old; Suspect Held on $10,000 Bond

A 24-year-old Plymouth man is facing multiple felony charges, including sexual battery, following a joint investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff's Department and the Indiana Division of Child Services.

The case began when the Marshall County Sheriff's Department received a complaint of inappropriate behavior between Anthony M. Ferree, 24, and a 13-year-old child. Investigators with the Sheriff's Department and the Division of Child Services began looking into the complaint, leading them to Ferree's residence on Forest View Drive in Plymouth on Wednesday morning, August 5th.

Lt. Detective Les McFarland and Detective Jonathan Bryant conducted the investigation at the residence. During the course of the investigation, drug paraphernalia and substances believed to be marijuana and methamphetamine were recovered from the home.

Ferree was taken into custody and held on a $10,000 cash bond. A case report will be completed and forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutor's Office for review and the filing of formal charges. Ferree now faces three Level 6 felony charges: sexual battery, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of marijuana.
