Plymouth man arrested at local restaurant on outstanding Kosciusko County warrant

A 23-year-old Plymouth man was taken into custody Wednesday evening after police located him at a local restaurant with an active warrant out of a neighboring county.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, Officer Mark of the Plymouth Police Department received information regarding an individual with an active warrant located at the Subway restaurant on North Michigan Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, the officer made contact with the suspect, identified as Rex Komoscar of Plymouth. Komoscar was confirmed to have an active warrant out of Kosciusko County and was taken into police custody without incident.

Komoscar was transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was lodged while awaiting transfer to the custody of Kosciusko County authorities.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
