Plymouth man arrested on Jefferson Street for warrant after dispute

On Saturday, December 14, at approximately 7:35 pm, Plymouth Police were dispatched to 187 North Oak Drive, the Dollar General Store for a possible domestic dispute.

Before the police arrived, one of the subjects involved had left.

32-year-old Matthew O'Brien of Plymouth, the second involved subject was found walking eastbound on Jefferson Street. He told police there had only been a verbal altercation between him and a friend.

O'Brien was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant through Marshall County and was taken into custody and transported to Marshall County Jail, where he was lodged on the arrest warrant.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
