Plymouth man arrested for miss use of 911

A Plymouth man was arrested on Wednesday, May 29th after making multiple 911 calls from St. Joseph Hospital in Plymouth.

At approximately 3:30 in the morning, an officer from the Plymouth Police Department responded to the St. Joseph Hospital after Marshall County Central Dispatch received multiple 911 calls from a male subject identified as James Carlisle, 32, whose address was the Red Rock Inn in Plymouth.

The investigation revealed that Carlisle did not need medical attention expressing to the officer he only wanted a ride.

The officer took Carlisle into custody for misuse of 911 and when searching his person, found suspected methamphetamine and syringes. James Carlisle was transported to the Marshall County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe, misuse of 911, and public intoxication. A $1,500 cash bond was issued for Carlisle.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
