A Plymouth man was arrested Thursday evening after a two-vehicle collision led deputies to determine he was driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol level well above the legal limit.
At approximately 7:36 p.m. on July 2, the Marshall County Sheriff's Department received a report of a two-vehicle collision in the area of Lincoln Highway and 11A Road. Deputies responded to the scene and located one of the vehicles and its driver, identified as Robert I. Savage, 62, of Plymouth.
During the investigation, Deputy Bragg determined that Savage was intoxicated and impaired at the time of the crash. He was arrested and lodged in the Marshall County Jail on charges of Operating While Intoxicated Endangering a Person and Operating While Intoxicated with a BAC of 0.15% or more. His cash bond was set at $1,500.
