On Sunday, February 26th officers from the Plymouth Police Department responded to the 100 block of Shalley Drive for the report of an intoxicated male threatening the caller with a sword.
Officer Baker arrived on the scene and 31-year-old Bruce Stanley who’s address was listed as 132 Shalley Drive was standing outside unarmed and visibly intoxicated. Officers detained Stanley for their own safety.
During the investigation, the victim said she stated she had returned home and Bruce was standing inside holding a sword. She alleges that he put the sword to her stomach and asked her if she wanted to die tonight and then began poking her repeatedly with the blade.
Stanley was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail. While at the jail Bruce became violent and kicked a deputy in the leg.
Bruce Stanley was booked for Domestic Battery with a Deadly Weapon, Intimidation with a deadly weapon and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer. He was held on a $1,500 cash bond.
