A Plymouth man was arrested Thursday night following a battery complaint at a local motel.
The Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a 911 call around 8:30 p.m. on December 4th reporting a battery that had just occurred at the Economy Inn, located at 2535 N. Michigan Street.
Plymouth Police Officer Ayala responded to the scene and investigated the incident.
According to the investigation, 42-year-old Jimmy D. Jones, a resident of the Economy Inn, allegedly assaulted another male at the location.
Jones was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Marshall County Jail. He was booked and lodged on charges of battery, a Class B misdemeanor, and held on a $250 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
