Vermillion County, In. – The old Ernie Pyle Elementary School building could become an early childhood education center. The school was closed last year and has sat empty since then. Steps are being explored to acquire the building. Leaders in the county believe it will cost around $5 million to purchase the building and bring it up to date. With the help of grants such as READI Grants the goal of repurposing the building is possible.
