The driver of a vehicle traveling nearly 20 MPH over the posted speed limit on U.S. 31 early Saturday morning was arrested by Plymouth Police.

At approximately 1 a.m., Corporal Schieber with Plymouth Police conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle at U.S. 31 and 9A Road.

The driver was identified as Jeremiah Banks, 39, of Plainfield.

During the traffic stop, Marshall County Sheriff's Department K9 Bear assisted, and approximately 20 grams of suspected marijuana were located in the vehicle. The officer’s investigation continued after Banks showed signs of impairment.
