A person was shot near Cloverdale Wednesday.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of a gunshot wound on State Road 42 near Cloverdale. Upon arrival, deputies located a person with a gunshot wound to the leg. EMS arrived and stabilized the victim before transport to an Indianapolis hospital.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department report indicates the person who shot the victim is cooperating and being interviewed by detectives to determine the facts surrounding the incident.
The sheriff’s department stresses that there is no threat to the safety of the public. As of this report, no arrests have been made.
