A Cleveland, Ohio woman is facing felony theft and fraud charges in Marshall County after an extensive investigation into a bank fraud scheme that began more than a year and a half ago.
In January 2025, the Marshall County Sheriff's Department was contacted by a local business reporting fraudulent bank activity. Through a lengthy investigation, Deputy Ryan Hollopeter developed probable cause for an arrest warrant for Diamonique S. Kennedy, 37, of Cleveland. Investigators determined that Kennedy was involved in the theft of several thousand dollars through a bank fraud scheme targeting the local business.
The case came to a conclusion on June 21, 2026, when the Marshall County Sheriff's Department was notified that Kennedy had been arrested on the active warrant by Brook Park Police in Ohio. Kennedy was subsequently transported back to Indiana and booked into the Marshall County Jail on July 2.
Kennedy faces charges of theft and fraud, both level 6 felonies. Her cash bond was set at $10,000.
Readers are reminded that criminal charges are merely allegations. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
