North Judson man arrested by deputy for felony domestic battery in presence of child following late-night altercation

A North Judson man was arrested late Saturday night after Marshall County Sheriff's deputies and Indiana State Police responded to a domestic disturbance in progress on State Road 17 near 10B Road.

Marshall County Central Dispatch received a 911 call at approximately 11:42 p.m. on July 18th reporting an active physical domestic altercation. Upon arrival and investigation, deputies determined that Dallas Preston, 33, of North Judson had battered two family members in the presence of a child under the age of 16.

Preston was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked on a charge of level 6 felony domestic battery in the presence of a child under 16 years of age. His cash bond was set at $1,500.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Department was assisted at the scene by the Indiana State Police.
