Nine students from Ivy Tech Community College’s Kokomo Service Area were honored recently for the completion of the College’s 2025 Student Leadership Academy.
They were among the Ivy Tech students statewide who completed the five-week leadership development program specifically designed for Ivy Tech students. SLA provides the opportunity for students to advance their leadership development and professional development skills while learning more about the history and traditions of Ivy Tech and networking with students throughout their region.
SLA graduates are honored at the campus wide graduation ceremony, earn a specially designed medallion to wear during commencement in May, and receive a scholarship for a three-credit-hour course in spring semester. Mary King, director of Student Life, Leadership, and Development for the Kokomo Service Area, serves as advisor for the Kokomo SLA program.
