The Putnam County Museum is inviting the community to a festive celebration of local history and culture as it will host “Night at the Museum” on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m.
Live music will enrich the evening while guests enjoy desserts prepared by the kitchen at Lost Hollow Beer Co. and libations from a cash bar. There will also be a quilt raffle, while cookie tins, Polaroid snapshots and other various items will be available at the gift shop.
“We have organized a great evening for celebrating our holiday season, and our museum offers a great location to enjoy these festivities,” said Executive Director Rachel Barr.
The museum has published a special cookbook filled with favorite dessert recipes by Putnam County residents, a free one which is included in the ticket price. Lost Hollow’s delights will be selections from the cookbook.
“This is a fun way to celebrate the holidays and our museum, and to meet and mingle with friends and other community members,” said museum board member Vicki Timm.
Tickets for the event are $15 and may be purchased at the museum, by calling 653-8419, or online using Eventbrite at the QR code attached.
The cookbook may be purchased separately as a digital copy for $5, or as a physical copy for $10 online and $8 at the gift shop. Museum members get an in-shop discount.
The museum thanks Lost Hollow and Baker's Septic Service for their generosity and support as the sponsors for this event.
