Bailey York is a 2016 graduate from Greencastle High School and a ten year 4-H member.
Bailey York, a Putnam County native, began her new position with Purdue Extension on September 3.
In 2022, Bailey joined the Purdue Extension team. She worked out of the Purdue Extension Shelby County office as their 4-H Youth Development Educator. Now, she is excited to be joining Putnam County in the Health and Human Sciences position.
Bailey is a 2016 graduate from Greencastle High School and a ten year 4-H member. During her time in 4-H, she enjoyed being apart of the Junior Leaders club and attending 4-H Camp at Shakamak State Park. She also showed goats during the Putnam County Fair with her sister, Hannah, and participated in various community building projects. Bailey furthered her education at Indiana State University where she studied Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Early Childhood Education, graduating in 2020.
Bailey is from Greencastle, but currently resides in Camby with her fiancée and their pup, Koda. Recently, much of her free time has been spent wedding planning. When not planning or preparing for her wedding, Bailey enjoys spending time with her family- especially her niece and nephews. She also enjoys crafting and trying out new recipes.
Bailey looks forward to further building relationships with community partners, homemakers, and schools in Putnam County. She intends to specialize in Human Development programming efforts but will be open to delivering programs outside of human development. Bailey is trained to teach CATCH My Breath – a youth prevention vaping program – to youth in grades 5-12 and looks forward to delivering the Apple Crunch Program in October with Jenna Nees, Putnam ANR educator.
