Good Samaritan Hospital (GSH) in Vincennes has announced that Common Spirit Health at Home will take over the operation of the GSH Hospice.
The medical institution had indicated earlier in the month that it would close the program at the end of 2025 due to several factors. Now under a new agreement reached, Common Spirit will acquire and operate the hospice beginning February 1st of 2026.
The organization has been a partner with GSH in a joint venture that currently provides home health care in Vincennes and Lawrenceville, Illinois. the transition will be seamless according to hospital officials with hospice caregivers remaining in place and services continuing under the Good Samaritan name.
