A vehicle pursuit became a foot pursuit through a field Sunday before an arrest of a Munice man in Miami County.
Indiana State Police attempted to pull over a driver who then failed to yield and fled the scene. The vehicle was later found on U.S. 31 in Miami County traveling 113 miles per hour.
The pursuit with ISP and Miami County deputies reached speeds of 130 mph. The suspect then switched into the southbound lanes from the northbound creating an extreme danger to motorists. The vehicle then continued onto 900 South before being immobilized by Indiana State Police.
Branden Berry then fled on foot into a nearby field. He was apprehended by Miami County Seriff Zac See. See was injured during the arrest and treated and released at a local hospital for treatment of a head injury.
Berry was transported to the Miami County Jail on charges of resisting law enforcement causing serious bodily injury, resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, operating while intoxicated with a prior conviction, possession of marijuana and reckless driving.
