Moolenaar’s appointment leaves the secretary/coordinator position vacant.
The Fulton County Sheriff's Office has announced the appointment of Amber Moolenaar as jail matron.
The position was previously held by Jodi Miller, who passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 16. She had served in the position since March 2016.
Moolenaar is not new to the sheriff's office. Prior to her appointment as jail matron, she was the department's secretary and sex and violent offender coordinator.
“I have seen her develop professionally over the last 8 years at the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, taking on added responsibilities and roles," Fulton County Sheriff Travis Heishman said of Moolenaar. "She continues to be an asset to the office and will do well in her new role."
Moolenaar’s appointment leaves the secretary/coordinator position vacant. Applications can be picked up at the Fulton County Auditor’s Office and/or the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.
Completed applications should be submitted to the auditor’s office by Friday, Oct. 25, at 4 p.m.
