A woman from Mishawaka is in custody after Plymouth Police were called to Freedom Park following a report of a female acting strangely.

Around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 4th, Officer Enyart was dispatched to 1228 West Harrison Street, also known as Packard Woods Park, regarding a woman acting strangely in one of the pavilions.

During the officer’s investigation, it was found that Nicole D. Huling, 40, of Mishawaka, had methamphetamine in her system and was currently under the influence. She was taken into custody, placed in wrist restraints, and transported to the emergency room for jail clearance.

Huling was taken to the Marshall County Jail, where she was booked on the drug possession charge and held on a $1,500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
