A Plymouth man living at the Comfort Suites was arrested on April 27th after Plymouth Police were dispatched for a subject yelling in one of the rooms.

City officers arrived at the Comfort Suites on Sunday morning at about 10:30 and located 62-year-old Ricky McFarland occupying the room.

During Officer Enyart’s investigation, he found that McFarland had broken out the room window.  He also located methamphetamine and cocaine in the room.

Rick McFarland was transported to the Plymouth hospital for jail clearance and then to the Marshall County Jail. He was lodged for level 4 felony possession and criminal mischief and held on a $3000 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
