Monday evening representatives of the Marshall County Blueberry Festival surprised Mayor Mark Senter at the beginning of Monday’s Common Council meeting.
Kari Vancza, Blueberry Parade Marshall said to Mayor Senter, “This year’s Blueberry Festival theme is Unifying Our Community Through Appreciation.” She continued, “I know to the Marshall County Blueberry Festival, Plymouth is a city that puts up with the traffic, crowds, and one-way streets. The City of Plymouth handles it all with the utmost professionalism and goodwill.”
Vancza then said, “On my behalf as Parade Marshall, the parade committee, and the Blueberry Festival Board of Directors, we formally invite you to be this year’s 2023 Grand Marshall.” Mayor Mark Senter was thoroughly surprised and said, “This is awesome. Thank you so much. You made my night ladies
