On Wednesday just before 2 a.m., Sergeant Taberski with the Plymouth Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle driving without headlights or taillights at the intersection of Michigan and Franklin Streets.

The driver was identified as 20-year-old Johan Mata of Polk Street in Plymouth. The officer found that Mata did not have a driver's license.

Mata was transported to the Marshall County Sheriff's Department and booked in for knowingly or intentionally operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license.

Mata’s $100 cash bond was paid within an hour, and he was released with a court date in Marshall County Superior Court II.
