Marshall County Musuem kicks-off Brown Bag Lunch & Lecture Event March 14th

The Marshall County Historical Society is sponsoring the first Brown Bag Lunch & Lecture Event of the 2025 series on Friday, March 14, from Noon to 1:00 p.m. Learn about making real maple syrup the traditional way.

Local resident Jonathan Cook will share all the steps of making real maple syrup, from tapping the trees to knowing when the syrup is ready. He follows age-old methods for producing this sweet treat. Cook will also discuss how the earliest inhabitants of Marshall County, the Potawatomi, and other tribes, made syrup long before European settlers arrived.

The Brown Bag event will take place at the Marshall County Historical Society & Museum, located at 123 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Pack a lunch and join the fun for this informative session! For more information, call 574-936-2306.
