Marian University’s Ancilla College is proud to announce a new Entrepreneurship Training Program this fall, developed to empower aspiring small business owners throughout Marshall County. The program is offered in partnership with RISE in South Bend, a leading organization in regional entrepreneur education.
The program comprises a sixteen-week course designed to help participants develop the tools, mindset, and network necessary to turn their ideas into sustainable ventures.
“This is more than just a class, it’s a launchpad,” said Jim Cawthon, the instructor and advocate for the initiative. “By providing a real-world foundation, we are preparing people to build something meaningful right here in our community.”
Classes begin on Tuesday, August 19, and run through Thursday, December 11, held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Marshall County Community Foundation building.
The program’s reduced cost for adult community members is $100 for the 2025-2026 academic year.
“We support the growth of small businesses, we’re not just launching companies, we’re building a stronger, more resilient community where local talent can thrive,” Cawthon said.
