An arrest in Hancock County after a threat involving Hancock Regional Hospital.
Just before 11 a.m. Thursday, officers with the Greenfield Police Department were called to the Hancock Regional Hospital on a report of threats involving a firearm to employees and staff within the hospital.
The threat was provided to the hospital electronically by an individual who was not on the hospital site. Officers with the Greenfield Police Department were quickly able to identify the individual and confirm that he was not on the hospital campus at the time of the threat, nor after the threat.
The Greenfield Police Department remained on site as investigators were able to confirm that the individual was at his residence in Hancock County. Authorities were able to obtain a search warrant for his residence and with the assistance of the Hancock County Joint Tactical Team, the individual was taken into custody without incident.
Kevin McNamara, 40, was arrested on preliminary charges of Intimidation. He is being held in the Hancock County Jail awaiting formal charges.
