M.C. Community Foundation awards over $500,000 & opens 2026 applications

The Marshall County Community Foundation (MCCF) awarded 441 scholarships totaling $526,114 for the 2024-2025 school year—marking the first time MCCF has surpassed the half-million-dollar milestone in annual scholarship awards.

“For many of our donors, there is no greater joy than knowing local students will have the ability to continue their education and create a better opportunity to thrive—and that builds a better and brighter future for our communities too,” said Linda Yoder, MCCF Executive Director.

Each of the more than 190 unique scholarship funds at MCCF recognizes a donor’s vision of making higher education accessible to the next generation.

Scholarship support has grown steadily in recent years.

  • In 2023–2024, MCCF awarded 392 scholarships totaling $497,214.
  • In 2022–2023, 381 scholarships were awarded, totaling $399,974.

This growth reflects both the continued generosity of donors and the success of MCCF’s streamlined online application and administration system.

“Students now take a simple online eligibility quiz to be matched with all the scholarships they qualify for—saving time and maximizing their opportunities. This helps students discover and apply for even more scholarships that may have previously gone unnoticed.” Yoder states.

The MCCF Scholarship application is now open for the 2025-2026 school year.
