Two live music performances are coming to The REES in downtown Plymouth.
Jeff Hughes, the music director for the famous Queen Mary cruise ship, will play this Saturday, May 25. His piano arrangements cover George Gershwin to “Phantom of the Opera.” His uncle, Jim Davis from Plymouth will be celebrating his 90th birthday on Friday and will join Hughes on stage for part of the concert.
On Saturday, June 1, VEO, a country/rock artist based in Fort Wayne, and her band will play. VEO’s unique sound has been attributed to her ability to blend her varied musical influences into a gritty yet sweet and angelic sound. She will be joined by her bandmates, who met at Purdue University Fort Wayne, through the school’s popular music program.
She recently signed with Gold Top Records and is currently putting together her debut album, which will be available later this year.
Tickets for each show are $15 for general admission and $30 for balcony seats. Tickets are available online at reestheatre.com; at Fernbaugh’s Jewelry in downtown Plymouth by check or cash; and at the box office 30 minutes before the show.
